Saudi Araba’s newspaper posts an article on Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis

Saudi Arabia’s influential newspaper, Al-Riyadh, has published the Azerbaijani ambassador Rasim Rzayev’s article dedicated to the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis.

The article provides detailed information on founding and celebration of this Day that has been declared as the Solidarity Day of the World Azerbaijanis since 1991 in line with the decree of the Great Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev. The author highlights Azerbaijan’s development and progress, its rising reputation in the world, the measures the state and government of Azerbaijan takes under the leadership of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to solve the problems of fellow-countrymen over the world and their results.

The article mentions the main idea of the holiday - the unity and solidarity of the Azerbaijanis from all over the world, respect of national and spiritual values, as well as belongingness to the historical homeland.

The author also draws attention to the fact that on decree of the President of Azerbaijan, 2017 was declared as the Year of Islamic Solidarity in Azerbaijan, which was highly appreciated in the Islamic world, the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict and steps taken by the Azerbaijani state for fair solution of the problem.

It is underlined that the Solidarity Day of the World Azerbaijanis is important as a symbol that in spite of long distances, the Azerbaijani people are still united, and each Azerbaijani should contribute to the restoration of territorial integrity of the country.
